NBC Nightly News was #1 in all categories last week. CBS had its second-worst week since Katie Couric‘s premiere, with 7.29 million viewers. (Couric is 50,000 viewers away from dropping below Schieffer’s final week again.)

The total viewer gap between ABC and CBS — 1,090,000 — is the largest it’s been in more than eight months, ABC noted.

For the week of Oct. 23:

Total viewers: NBC: 8,860,000 / ABC: 8,380,000 / CBS: 7,290,000

25-54 demo: NBC: 2.4/9 / ABC: 2.2/9 / CBS: 1.9/7

> Update: 1:33pm: “This represents the NBC program’s best total viewer delivery since the week of March 27, 2006 and its best advantage over CBS “Evening News” since the week of April 24, 2006,” NBC notes…
