“NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” was the most-watched evening newscast last week, putting up its best numbers since the week of April 15.
The evening newscasts often see viewership rise when clocks return to Standard Time.
Compared to the same week last year, which saw extensive coverage of the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, the three evening newscasts were down in the A25-54 demo, while “Nightly” and the “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley ” saw total viewer growth (NBC: +2% / CBS: +4%). “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” was down -3% among total viewers.
