Evening News Ratings: Week of November 25

Black Friday is gold for the evening news.

Last Friday, “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” drew 11.2 million viewers, the largest audience since November 23, 2012, which was Black Friday last year. “Nightly” also once again wins the week and grew its audience +10% compared to the same week last year. “Nightly” was flat in the demo.

No. 2 “World News with Diane Sawyer” was the only broadcast to grow in both measurements: up +8% in viewers and up +6% in the demo. “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” was up +7% in viewers and down -6% in the demo.

Because of the Thanksgiving holiday, ABC’s and CBS’ weekly averages are based on two days (Mon-Tue), while NBC’s weekly average is based on four days (Mon-Wed and Fri).
