All three evening newscasts, which spent the first part of the week in tornado-ravaged Joplin, MO, saw week-to-week and substantial year-to-year increases last week.
“NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” and “World News with Diane Sawyer” each up +22% over the same week last year.
The networks also saw big increases compared to the May 2010 sweep (after the jump). “Nightly” drew 1.4 million more viewers than May, 2010 and it was “World News'” best May since 2005.
