The aftermath of the raid that led to the killing of Osama Bin Laden gave the evening newscasts a boost last week. It was the best showing for the newscasts in two months, since the earthquake in Japan. “Nightly News with Brian Williams” led the way with a million+ total viewer lead over #2 “World News with Diane Sawyer.” All three shows were up considerably from the same week a year ago, with “Nightly” up the most: +1.6 million total viewers.
