NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt continues to thrive in 2016. Nightly edged ABC World News Tonight in total viewers this past week, averaging 8 million viewers overall. That’s up 6 percent in viewers and up 9 percent in the demo, compared to the same week last year.
ABC World News Tonight with David Muir continues to post its highest overall season-to-date numbers in 9 years, and its closest season margin with NBC in 8 years. WNT was up 6 percent in viewers, but down 3 percent in the demo.
CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley had the largest season-to-date gain in viewers last week, and was up 2 percent in viewers and up 5 percent in the demo, vs. the same week last year.
