The first week of daylight saving time is already taking a bite out of evening news viewership. 2.6 million fewer people (or 11%) tuned in to one of the three evening newscasts last week, compared to the week prior. And this was during a week which saw the election of a new pope.
Compared to the same week last year only “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” saw growth: +9% in total viewers and +5% in younger viewers.
