In its second week, the “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” continues to show growth in total viewers (+258K) compared to the same week last year. But the show is down slightly in the A25-54 demo (-80K viewers). The Pelley broadcast improved the most of the the three evening shows (+5%). #1 “Nightly News with Brian Williams” was the only broadcast to improve the younger viewer tally, year-over-year.
ABC’s and CBS’s ratings are based on 5-day averages while NBC is based on just one day — Tuesday. Monday and Wednesday were excluded due to the NHL finals and Thursday and Friday were excluded due to U.S. Open Championship coverage.
