After all three evening news programs saw a decline in viewership during the July 4th week, and ABC tallied its lowest ratings ever recorded, all three bounced back last week. NBC Nightly News won in Total Viewers and slightly edged out ABC World News in the A25-54 demo (although it was a tie in the rating).
Each network was up week-to-week in Total Viewers, with ABC up the most. ABC and NBC saw gains in the demo.
It was the best performance in both categories for ABC in four weeks.
