By Chris Ariens

For the first time in a long time there was growth among the evening newscasts. It was just one program, and it was less than +1 percent, but growth nonetheless.

It was ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir that saw an increase of +8,000 viewers last week vs. the same week last year. Muir’s newscast remained the most-watched while NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt was most-watched in the A25-54 demo.

While up slightly in viewers, ABC was down -6 percent in the demo; Nightly News was down -4 percent in viewers and down -14 percent in the demo; and the CBS Evening News was down -9 percent in viewers and down -12 percent in the demo.
