NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt wins the week, while the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley sees the most growth compared to the same week last year. Evening New was up +3 percent in viewers and up +11 percent in the A25-54 demo. Nightly News was flat in viewers and up +3 percent in the demo.
World News Tonight with David Muir, which is delivering its largest overall viewer audience in 11 years, was up +2 percent in viewers vs. last year, but was down -3 percent in the demo.
On Tuesday, the night of the New Hampshire primary, Nightly News topped World News Tonight by nearly +700,000 viewers; meanwhile World News Tonight came in first on both Thursday and Friday in viewers, with a +259,000 viewer lead on Thursday and a +339,000 lead on Friday.
