Evening News Ratings: Week of Feb. 23 & February Sweeps

“NBC Nightly News” with Lester Holt continues to hold the lead in the evening news race, but “World News Tonight with David Muir” and the “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” showed the most growth among total viewers and the younger demo, respectively.

Muir’s newscast was up +12% in viewers and up +4% in the demo compared to the same week last year. Pelley’s newscast was up +11% in viewers and up +9% in the demo. The Holt-anchored “Nightly News” was also up vs. last year: less than 1% in viewers and up +4% in the demo. “Nightly” also reclaimed the lead in the demo, which “World News Tonight” took last week.
