“ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” was the only evening newscast to show improvement compared same week last year. The broadcast was up a scant +1% in total viewers, but down -3% in younger viewers.
“NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” and “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” were both down in both measurements: NBC down -4% / 9% and CBS down -2% / -6%.
“Nightly” still maintained a nearly 1 million viewer lead on #2 “World News” but the ABC show decreased its year-ago gaps by double-digits in both Total Viewers (-28%) and A25-54 viewers (-42%).
