“NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” caps off 2012 with another ratings win: its 172th consecutive total viewer win and 214th win among younger viewers. “Nightly” drew +10% more viewers than “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” and +26% more than “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley.”
Pelley’s broadcast, however, was the most improved: up +17% in total viewers and up +6% in younger viewers. All three networks were up in total viewers compared to the same week last year. Only “World News” was down slightly in the demo: -2%.
All three newscasts are based on a 3-day average (Wed-Fri).
