For the ninth week in a row, the NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams finished first last week in Total Viewers, and finished first in the A25-54 demo for the third week in a row. ABC World News finished in second place. The nearly 10 million viewers was NBC’s highest rating since the week of November 19, 2007.
It was also a big week for the CBS Evening News, which had its highest Total Viewer average since the week of January 28, with more than 7 million. Both NBC and CBS gained week-to-week in Total Viewers and the demo. George Stephanopoulos filled in for Charlie Gibson on Friday.
