Evening News Ratings: Week of August 26

The evening newscasts finished the final week of August down from where they were at this point last summer. Not surprising considering the week of Aug. 27, 2012 saw Hurricane Isaac wash ashore and the Republican National Convention convene in Tampa. One bright spot continues to be the “CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley” which grew its viewership +5% year-over-year, the only newscast to do so. However, “Evening News” lost the most among the younger demo, down -12%.

“Nightly News” lost -4% of its viewership and -9% in the demo while “World News with Diane Sawyer” was down -2% / -6% respectively.
