“NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” led the way again last week, but Friday’s “World News with Diane Sawyer” was the most-watched broadcast that night (7.659 million vs. 7.423 million). That was the day of the royal wedding; a day which saw Sawyer in London and Brian Williams anchoring from storm-ravaged Tuscaloosa, AL.
Compared to the same week last year, the newscasts saw a significant jump in viewers: up a combined 2.75 million viewers.
