Evening News Anchors Bring Newscasts to Philadelphia

By Mark Joyella

Wednesday morning found the networks already investing front-line talent in the deadly crash of an Amtrak train just outside Philadelphia, with NBC’s “Today” moving Matt Lauer to the scene of the investigation.

This evening, all main evening news anchors will be reporting and anchoring live from the accident site. ABC’s David Muir is already on the ground. Muir traveled overnight, reported this morning for “Good Morning America,” and will anchor “World News Tonight” from Philadelphia.

We’re told “NBC Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt and “CBS Evening News” anchor Scott Pelley will also be anchoring from the scene.
