Ed Schultz Ending Radio Show, Moving To the Web

By Jordan Chariton

Ed SchultzMSNBC host Ed Schultz has had a busy last year, moving from MSNBC’s 8pmET timeslot to the weekends, then moving back to weekdays at 5pmET.

Now, he is ending his three-hour radio show and moving to web. Starting May 27, Schultz will turn his radio show, which is broadcast on stations throughout the country, into a one-hour web show airing on his website.

“Really, this change will give me the flexibility to be on the road, to do the kind of shows I want to do here for the ‘Ed Show’ on MSNBC,” Schultz said on last night’s “Ed Show.”

“This is on me, I just don’t want to do a three-hour talk show anymore, and a lot of it has to do with tread on the tire,” Schultz continued. We’re hearing from MSNBC that Schultz’s decision has nothing to do with a loss in radio affiliates over the years.
