With the announcement that Chuck Todd and Savannah Guthrie will be getting their own political program at 9amET comes the news that Dylan Ratigan is moving to the late afternoon.

Ratigan, who anchored MSNBC’s “Morning Meeting” between 9-11amET, will now host the hour-long “Dylan Ratigan Show” at 4pmET leading into “Hardball with Chris Matthews.”

The program will take over the slot formerly occupied by David Shuster and Tamron Hall. MSNBC said in a press release that Shuster and Hall “will remain anchors with MSNBC dayside.”

MSNBC president Phil Griffin said he is “thrilled to have Dylan move to the afternoons, where his analysis of politics and the economy and his tough interviews will be a great companion to ‘Hardball.'”

The 10amET hour will return to dayside news coverage with the switch. No anchors have been announced for that time slot at this time.

Shannon High will remain as EP.
