Dylan Ratigan: ‘I want to Apologize to the Congresswoman and to Our Viewers’

By kevin

At the end of today’s “Morning Meeting,” MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan apologized to Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz after losing his temper during Friday’s interview:

I’ll sum it up with a tweet from a woman known only as dianeg12, and I quote, ‘Dylan was very rude’ and, yes, dianeg12, I was and I want to apologize to the congresswoman and to our viewers for that. Our mission and my mission on this show is to shine the light on what is really happening whether it’s health care, the banks, or a war in the middle east. And the way I went about that on Friday was a disservice to our viewers because it got in the way of doing just that.

An MSNBC spokesperson tells us Ratigan was not asked by MSNBC management to apologize. Video of his full apology after the jump (via TPM).
