“Drastic Shift” Coming To CNN Prime?

The trade mags are catching up to TVNewser’s scoop about CNN’s primetime lineup shuffle:

The Hollywood Reporter’s sources says “CNN is weighing the possibility of splitting up [NewsNight] and giving [Anderson] Cooper the high-profile 10 p.m. slot. A CNN rep said that no final decisions have been made on the future of ‘NewsNight.’ No matter what happens, neither Cooper nor [Aaron] Brown will be on the air for CNN this week. Both anchors are on vacation.”

Variety calls it a “drastic shift that would again change the face of CNN’s primetime.” But neither pub mentions another possibility: What if Brown leaves CNN?
