NYDN reports that ABC’s “Good Morning America” will not go through with its booking of hip-hop artist Drake for a Central Park concert next Friday after NYPD felt security would be inadequate. ABC says Drake was never officially booked despite interest from the show and Drake’s camp says “there was a booking in place.” A free Drake concert at NYC’s South Street was prematurely canceled last month when way too many people that he didn’t know last year showed up and a riot ensued.
