Dozen Nightline Jobs Move to NY

Broadcasting & Cable’s John Eggerton reports ABC News is moving a dozen Nightline jobs from Washington, D.C. to New York, leaving only a handful of producers in Washington.

A network source tells B&C one of the reasons for the move was ABC’s switch to HD. The network switches to HD in September for the New York facilities, but there are no plans to move the DC facility to HD yet.

Co-anchor Terry Moran, the representative of the show who anchors in Washington, already spends much of his time anchoring in New York.
