Does Jimmer Fredette Really Have Hops?

Who says white men can’t jump?

Jimmer Fredette is featured on this week’s Sports Illustrated cover, in what appears to be an awesome photo of the BYU guard.

But Kevin Blackistone, who filled in for Michael Wilbon on Pardon the Interruption, is calling shenanigans when it comes to the photo. During the “Fill in the Blank” segment, Blackistone said he thinks the cover was “photoshopped.”

“We know he is a fantastic scorer,” Blackistone said Wednesday. “We know he is open as soon as he walks in the gym and will shoot it from anywhere. Now I’m led to believe that he is going to get in the NBA, and not only win the three-point shooting contest, but the dunk contest now? Stop it.”

What do you think? Does Jimmer have hops or did he get an assist?

Update (10:50 AM ET): Dan Patrick Show producer Paul Pabst tweeted, “I talked to Robert Beck who shot the SI Jimmer cover pic. It’s not photoshopped at all. It was taken at court level with a 20mm lens.”
