Dobbs Tops Kudlow In July

Fox Business Network is still far behind CNBC in total day and primetime, but it seems to be finding its groove in at least one key hour: 7 PM, where “Lou Dobbs Tonight” topped CNBC’s “The Kudlow Report” in the adults 25-54 demo in July. Dobbs had 43,000 demo viewers to Kudlow’s 39,000. In total viewers, Kudlow was still on top with 158,000 viewers, to Dobbs’ 148,000.

It is the first time any FBN program has topped a CNBC show in the demo for a whole month. Dobbs and Kudlow have been in something of a see-saw ratings battle at 7 PM over the last few months, with one or the other topping the competition in any given week in total or demo viewers.

Outside of 7 PM, FBN still has a long way to go in the ratings, as it averages fewer than half as many viewers as CNBC in both primetime and total day.
