Do You Trust Me? Ask Tucker Carlson

By Alissa Krinsky

About a year ago, MSNBC’s Tucker Carlson got a moonlighting gig, hosting a game show for CBS, Do You Trust Me?.

So what ever happened to the project?

CBS spokesperson Kim Izzo tells TVNewser the show does not have an air date as of yet. The network describes the program as featuring “two contestants who are total strangers [playing] as a team in pursuit of over $1 million while testing their ability to trust one another.”

Carlson tells TVNewser a pilot and six episodes are in the can — taped on weekends in Los Angeles. “I think it’s compelling and entertaining,” he says of the program. It’s “a hybrid, part game show, part reality show.”

Do You Trust Me?, Carlson says, “is not related in any way” to the old Johnny Carson show of the 1950’s and 1960’s, Who Do You Trust?.

Carlson’s other hosting gig — MSNBC’s Tucker — came to an end last month when execs replaced the program with Race for the White House. Carlson remains onboard at the network as MSNBC’s senior campaign correspondent.
