Disney-ABC, Time Warner Cable Strike Deal

By Alex Weprin

Yesterday evening Disney-ABC and Time Warner Cable struck a new long-term deal that will keep all of the Disney-owned cable networks, as well as the local ABC stations, available to TWC customers.

Had the two sides been unable to come to terms, programs such as “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer,” “Nightline” and “Monday Night Football” would have been off the air in the two largest markets in the country, New York and Los Angeles.

Our sister blog SportsNewser has more on the deal, including new sports services that were part of the agreement.
