MSNBC anchor David Shuster, whose contract with the network ran out earlier this month, is now free to return to the airwaves. And he will on Wednesday when he subs for Jim Bohannon on his syndicated radio program on Westwood One. MSNBC it ain’t, but a broadcasting job is a broadcasting job.
MSNBC suspended Shuster indefinitely last April after it was revealed he took part in the taping of a pilot for CNN.
Shuster made the announcement of his return via Twitter. His account had been dormant since July. For TV news reporters and anchors who find themselves out of work, Twitter has become a way to reach out directly to viewers who enjoyed watching them.
