David Gregory is joining Yahoo for midterm election night coverage, the NYTimes reports. Gregory, who left “Meet the Press” in August, will join his former NBC News colleague Katie Couric at the Yahoo News anchor desk for election night coverage. Gregory is not joining the company, but these appearances often can lead to more permanent placements. Matt Bai, who left the New York Times for Yahoo last year, and Politico’s Mike Allen are also a part of Yahoo’s coverage.
