‘Dateline’ Dick Cheney Special Gives NBC 10 PM Win

The NBC “Dateline” special featuring an interview with former VP Dick Cheney gave gave the network a close first-place finish at 10 PM. “Dateline” averaged 5.53 million total viewers, including a 1.7 rating/4 share among adults 25-54, the key demo for news.

Both were slightly higher than second-place CBS, which ran a re-run of “Hawaii 5-0” in the time period drawing 5.31 million viewers and a 1.6 rating/4 share. NBC also placed first for the hour in adults 18-49, the key demo for primetime entertainment programs.

The most popular program on all of network TV last night was ABC’s “Bachelor Pad,” followed by Fox’s “Hell’s Kitchen,” then ‘Dateline.”

Cheney went on to appear on “Today” this morning, and will appear on a slew of other news programs in the coming days.
