Former NBC Chicago sportscaster Daryl Hawks likely died of a heart rhythm problem caused by high blood pressure, according to a Fulton County medical examiner.

Hawks, 38, was found dead in an Atlanta hotel room while on assignment during the NBA Playoffs in May.

Earlier this month, Mike Adamle was promoted to a full-time sportscaster, filling the vacancy left by the untimely death of Hawks.
