Cramer vs. Stewart Goes Corporate, Cramer To Appear on Daily Show

By SteveK

In last night’s obligatory Daily Show segment about CNBC, Jon Stewart upped the ongoing beef by taking it to the corporate level. Noting Jim Cramer had gone on NBC’s Today show and MSNBC’s Morning Joe to defend himself after the previous night’s rant, Stewart delivered a sketch inserting himself in programs on other channels owned by Comedy Central parent company, Viacom. And “Basic Cable Personality Clash Skirmish ’09” was launched.

But it’s just the beginning. The Los Angeles Times’ Matea Gold reports Cramer will appear as a guest on the Daily Show Thursday.

As a side note, someone should let the ComedyCentral.com people know Stewart is claiming he always planned to broadcast the CNBC segment and not, as it says on TheDailyShow.com: “Rick Santelli canceled an interview with Jon, so The Daily Show team put together this tribute.”
