After breaking his ankle playing baseball in 1939, Bob Wolff walked into the broadcast booth and started calling games. He hasn’t left.

The New York Times‘ Richard Sandomir catches up with the living legend on the occasion of his 90th birthday.

According to the article, “He is still delivering weekly commentaries and covers occasional major sports stories for News 12 Long Island.”

He also has a lovely, charming wife. “His father, Dick, had a lot of drive. I don’t see that same drive in our children. They must take after me,” Jane, his wife of 65 years, told the Times.

Here’s to another 90 years.
