‘Countdown’ on Current TV Day One Ratings

Night one of “Countdown” on Current TV Monday drew 179,000 viewers in the adults 25-54 demo favored by advertisers. Total viewership numbers were not revealed.

That placed Current ahead of CNN, which drew 89,000 A25-54 (regular host Eliot Spitzer is off this week), and behind MSNBC with 237,000 A25-54, HLN with 419,000 A25-54 and Fox News which handily topped everything else on cable news with 735,000. Of course, as with any ratings, what matters more than the day one ratings are where they eventually settle, numbers which could be substantially altered by factors like a new lineup, new competition or expanded distribution.
