Could Bill O’Reilly ‘Go Hollywood’?

By Mark Joyella

On the heels of a hit with “Killing Jesus,” and talk of taking “Killing Patton” into movie theaters, it might be natural to wonder if the films’ executive producer Bill O’Reilly–also known for his work as a host on Fox News–could “go Hollywood.”

In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, O’Reilly talks about the opportunities that await him should he ever decide to wrap “The O’Reilly Factor” and head West,” where, he says, the success of his books (in bookstores and on TV) has “opened a lot of doors in Hollywood for me.” But Hollywood will have to wait–at least for now.

O’Reilly says he’s got a presidential campaign to cover, and another book in the “Killing” series, though he’s not revealing the subject. “After that, we’ll see.”

O’Reilly talked about the success of his recently-launched “Legends & Lies” historical series on Fox News Channel, and the controversy that erupted about reporting O’Reilly did for CBS in the 1980’s. “I was caught by surprise on it,” he said. “I was an idiot for not being prepared for it before a presidential election.”
