Correspondents’ Dinner: Kim Kardashian holds Court at Tammy Haddad’s Power Brunch

What’s a brunch without Kim Kardashian, Sherry Shepard, the Jonas Brothers, Chevy Chase, Rupert Murdoch and a couple hundred DC newsers?

The annual Garden Party at the home of ultimate DC media insider Tammy Haddad and her husband Ted Greenberg draws bigger boldface names with each passing year. This year’s brunch was dedicated to CURE Epilepsy and the Mother’s Day Everyday campaign. Susan Axelrod, wife of Pres. Obama adviser David Axelrod, was honorary chairwoman. The Axelrods’ daughter Lauren lives with uncontrollable epilepsy.

The Jonas Brothers pulled up just after we arrived. In addition to Chase, Shepard and Murdoch, with his wife Wendi Deng at his side, DC’s media elite rubbed shoulders under the tents. Kardashian, a guest of Van Susteren and Fox News, kept her mini-fan in hand during the 89-degree day. She’d taken the red-eye in, but stayed and chatted with the crowd for about an hour before heading out.

NBC/MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell has a big fan in the actor Steven Weber. “I watch MSNBC all the time,” said the “Happy Town” star with his former “Wings” wingman Tim Daly nearby.
