‘Cold War’ Series Returns to CNN

cold war cnn“Cold War,” the 24-part series narrated by Sir Kenneth Branagh, is returning to CNN this year ahead of the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in November. The series will premiere on CNN International at 9pmET tonight.

In a statement, SVP of programming for CNNI Mike McCarthy called the project “an epic pic series that captures the dynamics of one of the most important eras of recent times.” More than 500 eyewitnesses and participants, including Mikhail Gorbachev, George H.W. Bush, Fidel Castro, Henry Kissinger, Robert McNamara, Sergei Khrushchev, Pierre Salinger, Eugene McCarthy and Jimmy Carter, participated in “Cold War.”

The series will air every other Saturday throughout the year, with the final two episodes airing in November.
