CNN’s Malveaux Asks Bush About Jena Six, Race Relations

By Chris Ariens

Iraq, Iran and the Jena Six. CNN’s White House correspondent Suzanne Malveaux used her time during Pres. Bush’s news conference to ask a question about the Jena Six case in Louisiana; a story the network is spending most of today covering, including a one hour special investigation tonight. “The events in Louisiana have saddened me,” the president told White House press corps. “The Justice Department and the FBI are monitoring the situation down there. All of us in America want there to be fairness when it comes to justice.” Washington Post reporter Mike Fletcher also asked the president about the case. And in their post-news conference wrap-up, Brian Williams and Tim Russert discussed the issue as well.
