CNN’s “Hero Miles” Promotions Pay Off

Over the Memorial Day weekend, CNN promoted Fisher House’s “Hero Miles” program for military families, dedicating news reports and an oft-replayed Larry King Live special to the cause.

In a memo yesterday, Jim Walton thanked staffers for their involvement.

“Through our assistance, Fisher House experienced a dramatic increase in donations to their ‘Hero Miles’ program,” he wrote. “Preliminary figures show that the miles contributed and the matching miles from Fisher House’s airline partners has equated to more than 8,000 flights for service personnel and their families.”
