CNN’s Erin Burnett shared the story of a friend of hers, who says Donald Trump tried to force himself on her in 2010. “Trump took a Tic Tac, suggesting I take them also. He then leaned in, catching me off guard, and kissed me almost on the lips. I was freaked out,” Burnett said, reading the friend’s story on air Friday night.
Burnett shared the story during coverage of leaked audio that has rocked Trump’s presidential campaign–Trump describing kissing women without their consent in audio recorded in 2005 by the entertainment show Access Hollywood. “I just start kissing them,” Trump says in the recording. “It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”
On CNN, Burnett said of her friend, “she told me that when she heard this, she could only think of one thing and that is what Donald Trump did to her.” Burnett said the audio released Friday “stopped her in her tracks…”I have known this woman for years, she told me that when she heard this she could only think of one thing, and that is what Donald Trump did to her.”
