CNN’s Dana Bash and Deirdre Walsh Win National Press Foundation Dirksen Award

CNN senior congressional correspondent Dana Bash and senior congressional producer Deirdre Walsh have been named recipients of the 2012 Everett McKinley Dirksen Awards for Distinguished Reporting of Congress. Bash and Walsh reported in July on a loophole in the STOCK Act, passed this year, that could allow family members of lawmakers to profit from insider information on trades. In the aftermath of the CNN story, Congress closed the loophole in August. Watch Bash and Walsh’s report:
