CNN Swoops in to Buy 4-Hour Eagles Documentary

By Chris Ariens

CNN just added to your snowmageddon II (or is it snowzilla?) binge-watching.

In the wake of the death this week of Eagles co-founder Glenn Frey, the network just acquired the rights to broadcast History of the Eagles, the Alex Gibney-produced documentary about the band’s rise to superstardom, their break-up, and reunion. CNN will air both parts tomorrow night, from 8 p.m. ET. – Midnight.

The film, directed by Alison Ellwood, first debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013. It has also been airing this week on Showtime and SHO2.
