CNN Student News Is Back in Session as ‘CNN 10’

By A.J. Katz

Teachers might want to update their attendance sheets, because when CNN Student News returns on Thursday, it will be going by a new name: CNN 10.

CNN 10 is a 10-minute, on-demand digital news program which explains global news to a global audience. Hosted by Carl Azuz, the show is “ideal for explanation seekers on the go or in the classroom.”

Azuz is also a contributor to CNN Newsroom who has reported on the U.S. debt limit, the costs of college, the history of the U.S. Postal Service, the factors that drive gold prices, and the Atlanta Public Schools cheating scandal. He has also interviewed students for CNN’s Fix Our Schools series and explored the impact of technology on teenagers.

CNN Student News has been available for teachers and middle school and high school students for free since 1989.
