CNN Promotes McCain/Obama Weekend Appearance

By Chris Ariens

CNN sent out a press release about 45 minutes ago headlined: “Presidential Nominees McCain, Obama to Appear on CNN on Sunday, July 27.”

Here’s how it breaks down: An interview Wolf Blitzer is doing with Sen. John McCain will air in the 11amET hour of Late Edition. At NoonET, CNN will broadcast a candidate forum being held at this year’s Unity Conference in Chicago. Both candidates were invited to participate. Sen. Barack Obama has accepted. The forum is being sponsored by CNN and will be moderated by CNN’s Suzanne Malveaux and Time magazine’s deputy managing editor Ramesh Ratnesar.

As for that press release headline, we’re pretty sure McCain and Obama will also be appearing Sunday on ABC, NBC, FNC, MSNBC, HLN and maybe the Weather Channel too.
