CNN Names New Executive Producer For 11 A.M. Hour

Ted Metzger has been named the new executive producer of CNN’s At This Hour with Kate Bolduan.

Metzger takes over producing duties for CNN’s 11 a.m. ET hour after a stint as a supervising producer for CNN International, where he worked on International Desk with Robyn Curnow and Quest Express.

The announcement was made by CNN vp of programming John Antonio this morning via an internal memo to staff:

Please join me in welcoming Ted Metzger as the Executive Producer of At This Hour. Ted is a CNN veteran who has most recently been at CNNI as the supervising producer of International Desk with Robyn Curnow and Quest Express. Ted began his career at the PBS NewsHour with Jim Lehrer. He then moved to CNN’s Washington DC bureau helping produce Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer and State of the Union before moving to the White House unit as a senior producer. Ted has extensive field experience – traveling with President Obama on campaign trips and to the G20, working on the editorial team for the 2008 Presidential primary debate, and covering the John Edwards trial. He took a brief a detour to the BBC to work on World News America with Katy Kay before returning to CNN. Ted is a graduate of Georgetown University.
