CNN John Berman’s Fight Against ‘S Police’

By Jordan Chariton

John BermanCNN’s John Berman went on a bit of a tirade this morning against the “cable outrage” aimed at him and others on Twitter.

“About 10,000 people decided it was their duty on Twitter to point out to me—and the rest of the world—that it is Daylight Saving Time and NOT Daylight Savings Time,” Berman said.

Berman said he’s got nothing against the proper use of English, and wasn’t trying to be anti-intellectual: “Two sentences ago, I used the word prophylactically in a non-sexual way just to prove how smart I am,” he added, also suggesting he should move to Arizona because they don’t really observe daylight saving time—and in a joke about her veto of a controversial bill—also thanked Governor Jan Brewer for letting him spell however he’d like and “still be served in any store or restaurant.”

He concluded with a message for his Twitter haters, doubling down on embracing the improper use of the letter “s.”

“To all the daylight saving time police out there…stop acting like a bunch of jerk.”
