Wednesday was a full day of “gets” on cable news. MSNBC aired Brian Williams‘ full interview with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at 4pm. Fox News had a cable exclusive with Jim McGreevey at 9pm, and part three of Greta’s time with Laura Bush at 10pm.
But CNN landed the biggest newsmaker interviews of the year, all on the same day. Wolf Blitzer interviewed George W. Bush in New York; it aired at 4 and 7pm. Larry King interviewed Bill Clinton at 9pm. And Anderson Cooper interviewed Ahmadinejad at 10pm. An e-mailer put it this way: “CNN had a heck of a day…”
