CNN Experimenting With Late Nights

By Merrill Knox

Almost a year into Jeff Zucker‘s tenure as CNN Worldwide president, and the network continues to experiment with the lineup, this time in late night. CNN will give two new shows three-week trial runs beginning Dec. 2.

As we told you last night, Don Lemon will host a half-hour show at 11pmET called “The 11th Hour.” Lemon’s show will be followed by the half-hour “CNN Today” hosted by Brooke Baldwin.

The two shows will take the place of the re-air of “OutFront” while Erin Burnett is on maternity leave. Lemon and Jake Tapper will be the fill-in anchors at 7pm. Tapper fills in December 2 to December 20 and Lemon is on the schedule from December 23 to January 10.
