FTVLive got its hands on some raw CNN video just before Suzanne Malveaux reported live from the Carrier plant in Indiana ahead of Donald Trump’s visit there Thursday.
Malveaux is seen talking to control room producers about what she was going to report when a producer off camera says Trump’s plane is about to land, then adds, “if I do this, it means he landed.” The audio drops for a few seconds before the producer adds, “that means his plane’s crashed.”
“An unfortunate and inappropriate remark was made by one of our producers off camera yesterday,” a CNN spokesperson tells TVNewser. “We have apologized to the Trump transition team, and the producer has been disciplined.” Here’s the clip:
